The use of DNA in criminal cases have improved in recent years as DNA technology has become essential in helping solve crimes. The chances of someone having a similar DNA strain as another person is nearly impossible, the chances are at less then 0.01%. For this reason DNA analysis has become so effective at solving criminal cases.
Also DNA evidence has been used to exonerate someone who’s been wrongly accused of crime. This was shown to happen several times. There were people who have been wrongly accused of rape, murder and charged with those crimes as a result misinformation such as people from witnesses. DNA evidence has been crucial in those cases when eye witnesses although mean well but many times their judgment is misconstrued maybe by beliefs or because they’ve made mistakes.
Never the less the use of DNA evidence has been used effectively in helping solve many cases which other wise would not have been solved.
